"Establishment for the study and support of childhood programs", in English it stands for Mom and Dad.

MaDad was established in 2005 as a limited share holding company in order to:
- Maintain its independence.
- Avoid conflicts of interest with partners, especially in the NGO sector.
- Allow for self sustained growth and development.

| The Mission: |
MaDad's mission is to promote the Holistic Integrated Approach (HIA) to education in Palestine, and in the Arab region.
HIA is derived from integrating the basic child development principles with the basic principles underlying the Convention of the Rights of the Child (non-discrimination, best interest, participation, and right to growth and development).

To transform the rote-based, adult-centered system of education into an active-learning, child-centered system that respects the values embedded in the Palestinian and Arab heritage.

| The Approach: |
MaDad involves the stakeholders in identifying and analyzing the critical issues in education, and then it works with them to develop strategies to address those issues through conducting Participatory Action Research using HIA as a basis for strategic planning, program development, monitoring and evaluation.

MaDad's programs include:
- Providing consultancies to educational, cultural and recreational institutions and organizations:
- working directly with children and for children
- working with the adults living and working with children
- Conducting short term, or long term, professional development programs for the said institutions and organizations.
- Publishing the tools and resources generated form its active involvement in the process of transforming education in the Arab setting.
